Re:View is designed to keep your photos, videos, audio, scans, drawings, measurements, projects and settings on your device. GVS does not operate a Re:View content server, does not sell or share your personal data for advertising, and does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Explore Re:ViewYou control what you record, import, create, edit, store, export and share. GVS does not review, approve, monitor, verify, moderate, publish or assume responsibility for your content. You are solely responsible for having all rights, permissions and legally required consents for the material you use and for the people, conversations, property, documents, music, logos, locations or other information you record or include.
Privacy policy
Use of Re:View is also subject to the Re:View End User License Agreement and Terms of Use (the “EULA”). The EULA contains important warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification provisions and dispute-resolution terms. Where the app asks you to affirmatively accept the EULA, your acceptance forms the agreement described there.
Re:View is an iOS/iPadOS application made by Grande Vitesse Systems (GVS), San Francisco, California, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how Re:View handles information when you use the app.
Re:View does not require a GVS account and GVS does not operate a server that receives your Re:View projects or media. Re:View does not send your photos, videos, audio recordings, scans, drawings, measurements, captions, OCR text, projects, keywords or app settings to GVS.
If you voluntarily contact GVS for support and choose to send us an email, screenshot, file, diagnostic information or other material outside Re:View, GVS may receive and use that material only as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, protect legal rights, comply with law or as otherwise disclosed to you.
Apple may provide GVS with App Store sales, transaction, performance or diagnostic information under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. Those reports do not give GVS access to your Re:View project content.
Content you create or bring into Re:View is intended to be stored locally in the app or in locations you select, including:
Audio recordings may be stored in Re:View’s own Recordings folder, which can also be visible through the Files app under On My iPhone or On My iPad.
Local content remains until you delete it, remove the app, overwrite it, or move/delete it through a location you control. Device failure, operating-system changes, storage corruption, user error or deletion may cause data loss. You are responsible for maintaining any backup you consider necessary.
If you enable iCloud Backup, device backup, Files synchronization or another Apple or third-party storage feature, that provider may receive or store copies under its own terms and privacy policy. GVS does not control those services.
“User Content” means anything you record, photograph, film, scan, import, type, dictate, draw, measure, annotate, caption, edit, assemble, store, export or share using Re:View, together with associated metadata.
As between you and GVS, GVS does not claim ownership of your User Content. GVS is not the creator, publisher, editor, broadcaster, custodian, repository or legal reviewer of User Content merely because Re:View is used to create or process it.
You are solely responsible for User Content and for the consequences of creating, possessing, recording, processing, storing, exporting, transmitting, publishing or sharing it. This includes responsibility for legality, accuracy, quality, permissions, confidentiality, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, contractual duties, retention, security and backups.
Re:View can record audio, video and images. Laws governing recording, surveillance, confidential communications, meetings, classrooms, workplaces, private property and use of a person’s name, voice or likeness vary by jurisdiction and circumstance.
GVS does not determine whether you have permission to record. Before using a recording feature, you are solely responsible for determining and obtaining every notice, authorization, consent or other permission required by applicable law, contract, policy or property rule. The availability of a recording feature does not mean that recording is lawful in any particular situation.
You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content and use of Re:View do not infringe or violate copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, privacy rights, publicity rights, confidentiality obligations, employment obligations, nondisclosure agreements or any other rights of another person or organization.
You should not place confidential, regulated, proprietary, medical, financial, educational, government-controlled or other sensitive information into Re:View unless you have independently determined that your intended use, storage, backup and sharing practices satisfy your obligations. GVS does not represent that Re:View, by itself, makes your workflow compliant with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, export-control rules, records-retention rules or any other industry-specific requirement.
Re:View asks for access only when a feature needs it. You can change permissions in iOS/iPadOS Settings.
Features such as document scanning, OCR, handwriting recognition, read-aloud, measuring, perspective correction, split-screen composition, exports and metadata-based checks are designed to use Apple frameworks or app code on your device. A metadata-based “AI-generated content” check examines information available in a file and does not, by itself, prove whether a file was or was not generated or edited with AI.
Automated text recognition, speech-to-text, metadata interpretation, measurements, perspective correction, drawings and other generated outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for independently verifying outputs before relying on them.
Re:View, Re:Vision and Re:Design are productivity tools and are not a substitute for a licensed architect, engineer, surveyor, contractor, lawyer, medical professional or other qualified professional. Do not rely on app-generated measurements or drawings for life-safety, structural, electrical, code-compliance, medical, legal, emergency or other safety-critical decisions without independent professional verification.
Information leaves the app when you choose to export, copy, save, AirDrop, email, message, print, upload or otherwise share it, or when an Apple/device service you have enabled performs a backup or synchronization. You decide what to share and with whom. The receiving app, person or service handles that material under its own terms and privacy practices.
Exported files can contain information you added or chose to preserve, including names, initials, project information, keywords, location data, timestamps, metadata, watermarks, logos, captions or title-block details. You are responsible for reviewing exported material before sharing it.
If Re:View is sold through the App Store or offers in-app purchases, payment and billing are handled by Apple. GVS does not receive your full payment-card information. Refund requests are handled according to Apple’s rules and procedures.
Re:View does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking, and does not sell or share User Content for targeted advertising.
Re:View is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed to children. GVS does not knowingly operate Re:View to collect personal information from children. A parent, guardian, school or other supervising adult is responsible for determining whether a minor may lawfully use recording, sharing or other app features.
Because GVS does not operate a Re:View content account or content server, GVS generally has no Re:View project content to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. This does not apply to material you separately and voluntarily send to GVS, such as a support email.
Your device, passcode, Apple ID, backups, file-sharing settings and physical access to the device are outside GVS’s control. You are responsible for securing your device and deciding whether additional safeguards are appropriate for the content you store.
If we materially change how Re:View handles information, we will update this page and the effective date. Where applicable, material changes may also be described in release notes or presented in the app. Changes to contractual rights and obligations are governed by the EULA and applicable law.
